LEVY: Vouching for a strong district
On March 12th voters in the Coeur d’Alene School District will have the opportunity to vote yes and support the M & O Levy that is essential to maintain a quality school district. I am a 2003 graduate of LCHS and went on to graduate from the U of I with a degree in business. I married a wonderful woman, also an LCHS grad who went on to become a successful speech pathologist. We are feeling pretty lucky to have been raised in a community with such a great educational program.
We have recently moved back to Cd’A, started great new jobs with a growing company and thriving medical facility and are looking forward to raising our own family here and sending them to this school district. We are among many young professionals who feel the same way and are returning to this community to raise their families. We just want to say thank you School District 271 for the opportunities we have as a direct result of being educated here.
If our community does not support this levy many of the programs and staff will be cut and the quality of education will suffer. We need to ensure that we maintain the kind of quality education that makes our community a desirable place to live.
Our taxes will be maintained at approximately the same rate because this is a replacement levy that is asked of us every two years. Vote YES for current and future kids in our community.
