AMNESTY: Not what's needed
If you haven’t noticed, the fix is in on immigration reform. Republicans are now touting so-called tough amendments regarding increased border security. Senator Marco Rubio is the front man for this sham.
This is all smoke and mirrors. Add 20,000 border control agents, so what? Add miles of fence, so what? Until all this is done, it is no more than a promise by politicians whose vote and word is worthless.
President Obama through an executive order generally ended all workplace INS raids and prevented deportations just because someone was found to be an illegal. Are Republican politicians so stupid as to think a Democrat president will not gut this enforcement?
It is not the plan, it is results. When the border is locked down and secured, then talk about immigration reform. Not until then. The legal immigration system is broken so we need this bill, says Rubio. Earth to Rubio: The legal system is not joined at the hip with enforcement of laws against illegal immigration. If we need more high-tech workers, allow more in. If we need a guest worker program, debate it and take it to a vote. We do not need an amnesty bill with citizenship for illegals to do any of that.
Watch your senators, conservatives. You are about to have your pocket picked.
