Child drowns in Boise apartment pool

BOISE (AP) - Ada County officials say a 6-year-old boy has died as a result of an accidental drowning at a Boise apartment complex.

The coroner's office on Thursday identified the boy as Mohamed Hassan.

Police received a call about a possible drowning at the apartment complex about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. CPR was in progress when emergency responders arrived. The boy was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived at the hospital.

Witnesses tell KBOI-TV that some kids were swimming in the pool when they found the boy under water.
