ISSUES: The ox will reveal all
Del Cameron’s letter regarding the “He’s on his knees tracking the president (sic), turning over every leaf, rock and clump of dirt that he may have touched” reminded me of the “hoards” of private investigators searching for any information that they could use to destroy the reputations of FOB, Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey and those are just the more famous names that were reported in the press. Unfortunately for Bill, Monica Lewinsky “saved” her evidence or she too would have been trashed into oblivion.
Let us not forget the constant attacks on all previous presidents by their political opponents, whether based in truth or not, because you can bet your political ice cream and cake that they were “on their knees” as well. Using stale cliques such as “the one who lied and people died” merely shows the transparency the argument on Bush. Read Georges Sada’s book about “the lie;” he probably knows more about “it” than most. For the record, he was Saddam Hussein’s Air Force General, but then again unless you are a Kurd, chemical attacks on civilian populations would not be very significant to anyone who continues to bash Bush even after five years.
I would submit that if your son, spouse or family member had been one of the victims during the attack on the U.S. counsel facility Benghazi you probably would not be so quick to use as part of your argument. I would also suggest that if you had ever been the focus of an IRS audit, as I have more than once, you certainly would not be so casual about the current abuse of power scandal in that particular government agency.
What I am attempting to point out is that when there is a crisis, people complain based on whose ox is being gored the most, and if you really have a “felt need” to talk to someone who is not interested in government or governing, try getting through to the guy you are defending. I do not disregard your comments about our military suffering from the latest wars as I have two grandsons in the military and my granddaughter’s husband has served in Iraq twice and Afghanistan three times.
