FARRAGUT: Those were good days

A friend of mine brought the issue of The Press dated July 7. I was really proud to see it. I was in the USMC stationed at Farragut Naval Base in 1945 until April 1, 1946. What a snow you people had. Being from Texas, I had never seen such a snow. I enjoyed your city very much and would like to see it again.

By the way, is the Forester’s Club still there? I still have my pass to the club. The USO was very nice also. Farragut was one of the better bases I served at.

Your paper sure looked good and brought back memories.
