PARKS: Thanks for a great day

I attended the parks day celebration Saturday and would like to thank the Coeur d’Alene Parks Department as well as the sponsors of this awesome event!

I have gone every year and have visited some parks I didn’t even know existed.

At Sunset Park my husband and I were treated to hot cakes and sausage and Starbucks coffee. While we ate, we listened to live music and watched small children learn to ride a bike. In the evening, we walked up to North Pines Park and had hot dogs and heard more live music.

You could learn to square dance, adopt a pet or sign up for the First Tee program at the Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Course. Guess what? It was all free!

Those of us who live here are lucky to have such an extensive, beautiful and well-managed parks department.
