Regarding the story about the couple’s power being shut off by KEC. It was stated that KEC requires a deposit fee, so why was the previous tenant’s deposit not applied to the amount owed, instead of telling the new tenants that they had to pay the previous tenant’s bill in addition to paying a deposit fee? And then, when the new tenants asked how much they would have to pay, the rep replied, “I can’t give you that information because you’re not on the bill”!
What am I missing?
