In a letter in today’s Christmas edition of The Press, Ms. Blaski implies that people with mental disorders are not successful at life. I have a mental disorder known as bipolar illness. I want Ms. Blaski to know that people with mental illness can and do lead successful careers, marry, raise children and live pretty much the same lives as everyone else. As you might imagine, we don’t like being called mental. And I Googled ADHD, and it does sound a lot like a mental disorder.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
SHERRI THEANDER
