MUSLIMS: A path toward salvation

| December 22, 2013 8:00 PM

As president and founder of Salvation For Muslims, I would like to comment about the letter written by Pat Henkin last Sunday. I am happy to hear you have noticed our office headquarters in Hayden. We are a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to reaching out in love to Muslims around the world for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping others with the knowledge and tools they need to understand and reach Muslims in their own communities.

I was born into a Muslim Iraqi family, but by the Grace of God, became a Christian in 1993. I served the U.S. military for three years as interpreter and culture adviser during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I love my people and my home country as well as I love the United States. My desire is for Americans to understand the difference between Muslims, a beautiful culture of people loved by God, and Islam, a religion of deception and hate.

Salvation For Muslims is headquartered here not because there is a population of Muslims in this vicinity, but because this is where God has chosen for me to reside. I travel to many different communities throughout the U.S. and Canada to share my testimony and to teach about Muslim culture and faith, Islam, and how to minister to this lost nation for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

There is, however, a mission field ripe for the love of Christ, just a few miles from here in Spokane. There are also many international students from the Middle East on our campuses and Washington and Idaho both participate in the Federal Refugee Relocation program, so there are more Muslims coming to this area all the time.

If you have a heart to learn about this people, their culture and how to witness to them or about Islam, the Qur’an and Mohammed, contact Salvation For Muslims at www.salvationformuslims.com

Merry Christmas!
