ART: Could be safety hazard

I have been reading about the artwork at the roundabout on Fourth Street. I live in Rathdrum and haven’t seen it yet, but see the intersection a lot during the garage sale season.

Aside from the ridiculous expense, I wonder about the safety issue. There are a lot of people who have trouble dealing with a roundabout, although they are fine by me. I don’t think that there should be any distractions taking peoples 100 percent attention away from dealing with traffic coming from three other directions, by looking at some sort of artwork.
