Laura Lynn O'Kane, 64

Laura Lynn (Brewer) O’Kane, born July 29, 1949, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2013. Dearly missed and fondly remembered by loved ones.

Husband: Russell O’Kane; Daughters: Jodi Self, Michelle Ruiz, Jennifer Russell

Grandchildren: Jeremy Miller (wife Charlotte), J.R. Miller (wife Jessica), Bobby Miller, Vincent Self, Avery Werick. Great grandchildren: Dakota, Jordan, Justin, Elizabeth, Dallas, Erica, Gunner, Randy, Ryan, and Alya.

Laura was from a family of 13 brothers and sisters, and was also a devout Christian. She was a very loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, relative and friend. She really enjoyed spending time with her loving husband Russell, watching movies, loved her animals as well as keeping in the circle of all her loved one’s lives through online and phone conversations. She was always supportive and positive, and was also a very forgiving person. One of her writings found in her Bible stated, “We do not climb up to God, but God reaches down to us, and quickens our lost soul.” She truly believed that there would be peace in Heaven.

In remembrance of Laura, know that God knows when life is too much; he has taken all the pain and weary days away. So please rejoice that Laura is pain free and finally at peace.

Laura was cremated on December 5, 2013 and is placed in her husband Russell’s care in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he resides.
