POEM: Who is this special child?
As I came upon a Christmas scene
I heard some people say,
Who really is this special child?
This one, born Christmas day.
Who is this special child, you ask?
Let me tell you what I know,
He is the very Son of God
Prophets spoke of long ago.
I understand that he is called
The Savior of all men,
And that he has the power
To forgive men of their sin.
He died upon a rugged cross,
By his choice, it is said,
And bore the sins for all mankind
As his cleansing blood was shed.
But here’s the most amazing thing,
He rose again to live,
And offers us eternal life,
If our hearts to him we give.
You ask, who is this special child?
I believe it’s clear to me,
He’s the one who saves, redeems, gives life,
He is everything we need.
And that, my friends, is what I know,
I have nothing more to say,
About this very special child,
Who was born on Christmas day.
