Henderson recognized in national magazine
Frank Henderson, R-Post Falls, is recognized in the July/August edition of the national State Legislatures magazine as being one of six World War II veterans in the nation who remain on active state lawmaker duty.
"Now in their 80s and 90s, they are part of the Greatest Generation, and each brings his unique experiences to the job of state legislator," Mark Wolf wrote in the article.
Henderson was first elected to the Idaho House in 2004 and won re-election in 2012.
Henderson, who was publisher of the former Post Falls Tribune, previously served as Post Falls mayor and a Kootenai County commissioner.
Henderson and 11 other veterans founded American Legion Post 143 in Post Falls in 1976. It is the largest post in Idaho with more than 600 members.
