Floyd 'Ken' Rice, 69

Floyd ‘Ken’ Rice, 69, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, after a brave battle with lung cancer.

Ken was born in Idabel, Okla., on Jan. 16, 1944. He was raised in Ventura, Calif., and relocated to Northern Idaho in 1977. Ken worked for General Telephone and retired from the company after 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and had a great love of the outdoors. He is survived by his mother, Zelmarie Crosby of Ventura; son David Rice of Post Falls; daughter Dana Hatch of West Linn, Ore.; granddaughter Camryn Hatch; grandson Kaden Rice; sister Ellen Knox of Ventura; sister Paula O’Connor of Christoval, Texas; and his beloved companion, Ginger Silverman of Charlotte, N.C.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Rice; former wife, Barbara Topping Rice and brother Max Rice.
