EAGLES: Bring back the BBQ

I think the Downtown Association needs to reconsider not allowing the Eagles Fraternal Organization to barbecue burgers on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. It has been a tradition for so long and because of a “couple complaints” you bowed down and told them they could NOT barbecue hamburgers out in front of Eagles. Barbecuing in the “back alley” is not safe! Case in point: the van that hit the cage that holds the barbecue and the propane tanks, and drove off. It could have been the VOLUNTEERS barbecuing that got hit!

I would rather have some great smelling barbecue smell than cigarette smoke and cursing from other bars on Sherman Avenue. It is for 2 1/2 hours ONCE per week — come on!

There are options to be offered to them to appease the complainers. Work it out!
