Labor to host job events

The Idaho Department of Labor, 600 N. Thornton St., Post Falls, will host job-related events on Tuesday and Wednesday.

WinCo Foods, which is about to open a store in Coeur d'Alene, will present informational sessions on employment opportunities on Tuesday at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon.

On Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon, job seekers can meet with several employers looking to hire employees. Dress for meeting your possible employer, be prepared to complete an application and bring your resume.

Employers include: Coldwater Creek, Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, Dave Smith Motors, temporary agencies, Red Lion, Silverwood Theme Park (hiring for Scarywood), Esterline Technologies and The Cottage Childcare Center.

ACES to hold open house

ACES Community Health Services will hold an open house at its new Post Falls location at 1700 Schneidmiller Ave. on Aug. 20 from 4-7 p.m.

There will be a dunk tank, facility tours, door prizes, food, giveaways and snow cones.
