Joseph Carter Day, 46

| August 10, 2013 9:00 PM

Joseph Carter Day, 46, of Coeur d’Alene, passed away Aug. 9, 2013, at his home. He was born July 15, 1967, in Lynwood, Wash., to Kenneth and Isabelle (Haddox) Day.

Joseph was a member of the United Church of God in Spokane and was a good and faithful servant, always trusting in the Lord and now resting in His arms.

He enjoyed hiking and gardening but his true love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Joseph also enjoyed projects, inventing and tinkering. He would often combine that with his love for his grandchildren, building them a swing set and inventing a rocket launcher were just the beginning.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family including his wife, Janice; two stepchildren; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six siblings; his mother, Isabelle; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Viewing will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. Visit Joseph’s online memorial and sign his guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
