Betsy C. Spence, 86

Betsy passed away peacefully Friday mourning, Aug. 2, 2013. She was born Aug. 4, 1926, to Ira H. and Mary A. Crawford in Sewickley, Pa.

Betsy married Robert Jones in Clifton Springs, N.Y., in 1946 and followed him west as he pursued a career in the newspaper business. In 1966 she purchased Evergreen Floral and moved to Coeur d’Alene from Kalispell, Mont. After retiring from Evergreen she work at Kootenai Medical Center for many years and in her later life she was a file clerk at the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office. Betsy was very active in the Coeur d’Alene social scene and will be missed by her many friends and acquaintances.

Betsy is survived by her sons, Terry and Judson Jones; her daughter, Bobbi Sue Buck (Jones) and grandson Gabriel Jones.

A celebration of Betsy’s life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at Seasons of Coeur d’Alene, 209 E. Lakeside Ave., Coeur d’Alene (on the corner of Second Street and Lakeside Avenue).
