Katharina Bauerle, 72

Katharina Bauerle passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on July 23, 2013, at her home in Coeur d’Alene. Predeceased by her husband Albrecht Bruno Bauerle (2007), she is survived by her sisters, Mary and Helga.

Katharina grew up in Romania and Austria before she, her mother and two sisters relocated to Canada, where she attended school, worked, married and raised their family. She was multilingual and enjoyed travel.

Katharina was an extraordinary woman and wonderful, loving mother. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and her strength and courage. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, baking and antiquing. She was also an avid reader of historical novels, collector of cookbooks and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Katharina will be missed by her daughter, Belinda (Textor) and son-in-law Garret; her son, Albrecht Karl; her two granddaughters, Natasha and Makenna; and all whose lives she touched.

A private memorial will be held Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at the family’s residence in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
