LIBRARY: New resident impressed

| April 21, 2013 9:00 PM

As a new resident of Post Falls, I am so very impressed with the services and opportunities to volunteer, as well as the numerous activities and cultural events which are available. One of your jewels is the Post Falls library and the Cooperative Information Network that is accessible to the citizens of the area.

I have recently moved from a town of more than 100,000 in Texas and the library system there is definitely lacking when compared to the system in Post Falls. One of my favorite things about the library is the bookstore (Twice Told Tales). In fact, this is the first time I have ever been in a library which had a separate bookstore. This store specializes in gently used (or “experienced”) books. It also offers note cards, puzzles, CDs, DVDs and other goodies for sale, especially around the various holidays. For instance, for Mother’s Day there will be a variety of small “trinkets” for sale. The items will be inexpensive, and perfect for children to purchase for Mom. Almost all the books in Twice Told Tales are in excellent shape, and most hardback books sell for only $2 and the paperbacks are normally just $1. They also feature excellent resources for children and young adults. The bookstore is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thanks to all of you who support the Post Falls library and the very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Stop by soon at the Twice Told Tales bookstore. You will be glad you did — and surprised at the wonderful books and other items available!
