ADLER: Back to the beginning

The presentation by Professor David Adler at the Coeur d’Alene library was most interesting. He had a constitutional angle that I had never heard before.

Equally impressive was the turnout. Lots of interested people who, based on their questions, had wildly different political feelings, e.g. impeach Obama; impeach our Congressman. Thanks to The Press for making it happen.

For all the reasons the professor gave: Too much diversion to TV; too much money; too much ego; the professor’s goal will not be achieved nationally. However, it is nice to know that the Constitution can be interpreted progressively — if going back to the Federalist Papers can be called progress.
