PRESS: Uplifting news welcome

| April 14, 2013 9:00 PM

Wow! What a great read in The Press on Thursday. This is a splendid place to live, to do business and to be learning how to grow businesses. I emphasize great after having read four encouraging articles related to Ground Force, Impact Fees, KTEC and The Presidency.

While states around us are crippling businesses with taxes and bureaucracies, we seem to not only encourage healthy methods and principles, but to embrace them.

It’s refreshing to see Ground Force continue to expand and the county actively listening to businesses as they communicate how unfair taxes are strangling them and then, how our schools are actually looking to show kids and adults that, while academic education is important, there is money to be made and tremendous fulfillment in the trades, as well. The article on the presidency makes you stop and think about what that position is supposed to be and what it has become.

I hope Jobs Plus and the chamber are getting these stories out to businesses looking to relocate.

I doubt the Coeur Company will find these values in their new location in Chicago.

Great job, Press. And thanks for covering the local news so well. Live well and prosper.
