Monte H. Risvold, 72

Monte H. Risvold passed away April 10, 2013, at his home in Hayden Lake.

He was born on Oct. 24, 1940, in Chicago, Ill. Monte has resided in Idaho for the past 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jeannette.

For more than 35 years, Monte was a prominent real estate agent in the commercial industry highly respected by his peers. Monte touched many lives with his real estate knowledge and wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid history buff, political advocate, loved to garden and cherished nature, especially the birds and squirrels who shared his backyard.

Monte is survived by his soul mate and best friend of 23 years, Marilyn Eaves; his sister, Sandra Waller and husband Steve; brother Jerry Risvold and wife Kaarin; and survived by his special children, Denise, Cerise, Patti, Monte Jr., Michael and Maureen. He is survived by his grandchildren who he adored and enjoyed countless hours with: Shasta, Brad, Brittany, Jessica, Morgan, Brandon, Rhianna, Aiden and Dainton; and his great-grandchildren, Colton, Savannah, Mercedes and Georgia.

Monte will be remembered for his loving kindness and caring ways, he never met a stranger.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene.
