Ruth Nelson, 83

Ruth Marian Nelson, age 83, resident of Coeur d’Alene, died April 3, 2013, at Ivy Court in Coeur d’Alene. She was born Dec. 29, 1929, in Maiden Rock, Wisc., to Carl and Mary Frances Lucille (Hedberg) Prichard.

She moved here with her parents at the age of 10. During her high school years she worked part time at the English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. She graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School with the Class of 1947. After graduation, she worked as a checker for the Independent Market on Sherman Avenue. She then worked at Albertsons and then later did in-home care work for the elderly all in Coeur d’Alene. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping and spending time her family.

Ruth is survived by her daughter; Lori Walker of Coeur d’Alene; son, Ed Walker of Hayden; two grandchildren, Steven and Stephanie Walker of Coeur d’Alene; sister Lila Ferger, of Liberty Lake, and multiple other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday (April 8, 2013) at the English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St., Coeur d’Alene; reception to follow, and burial will be at 1 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery, Coeur d’Alene.
