Divine Images in Silver Lake Mall
Enchanted portraits of children is the emphasis of Divine Images Northwest. The photography studio will open Friday off the main hallway in Silver Lake Mall.
"Heavenly photography at a down-to-earth price" is the motto of owner Mia Coffey, who has had the business out of her home since 2005. "I use elaborate sets and costumes to make the image a work of art," she said. "As a child I loved to play dress-up, and it's easier for a child to feel like a princess or knight when they're dressed like one." Raised near Eugene, Ore., she came to North Idaho from Spokane in 2003.
Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 1-6 p.m. Sundays or by appointment. Phone 667-9651. Check www.divineimagesnw.com.
Now for several Tidbits
- Last week we asked about Trader Joe's. A few readers emailed that the company is at least a few years away from coming this way. It may help to suggest this location by emailing "[email protected]." Meanwhile, check out Pilgrim's Market on Fourth Street. And if you're into Trader Joe's "two-buck Chuck" (Charles Schwab wines for under $3), some Cd'A stores now have three wines for $10. It ain't bad.
- Last week we talked about the expansion of a new cafe at 3646 Government Way. It's the Broken Egg, not Cracked Egg, serving breakfast and lunch 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. A storage room is being added so 15 seats can be added to the back room, which is reservable for groups by phoning 966-4399. Also, an unrelated office is being added to the south side.
- Next week: More new businesses coming to Riverstone and Silver Lake Mall.
- In writing, use "many" or "several" instead of "much" or "a lot of," and use "such as" instead of "like."
- I did a theatrical performance about puns; it was a play on words.
