LABRADOR: Has courage aplenty
Your CAST AN INFORMED VOTE editorial asserts Congressman Raul Labrador lacks political courage. I think we both know you don’t believe that for a second. The congressman has challenged you personally face-to-face a time or two concerning your decision not to report positive events in his campaign for office in 2010.
Have you forgotten his appearances on “Meet the Press” and other national television shows in which he, without hesitation, argued his convictions against the likes of Tom Brokaw and other panelists?
If you have ever attended one of Congressman Labrador’s town hall meetings you know he answers all questions very directly. How many politicians have you questioned who might start their response by saying, “you are probably not going to like my answer,” knowing you will not likely agree with him? Not many I’m sure.
I do not know why Congressman Labrador chose not to answer Project Vote Smart but I trust his judgment. He has demonstrated to me and anyone who is paying attention, that our country would be better off with many more Congressmen like Raul Labrador serving in Washington.

Editor’s note: The Press did not assert that Rep. Labrador lacks political courage. The editorial said that was Project Vote Smart’s assertion.
