Derris William 'Bill' West, 73

Derris William “Bill” West, 73, lost his battle with cancer on Sept. 5, 2012. He was born June 17, 1939, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late William Henry and Juanita Newman West.

Survivors are his three children, Patty West, Willie West and wife Brenda, Natalie West-Kohlwes and husband Jeff; one grandchild, Haley Hendrickson; five sisters, Anna Downey, Adda Lewis, Nora Dalton and Rissa Rose; and one brother, Robert West; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by one sister, Alma Daniels and three brothers, Raymond, Leon and Kenneth West.

Services were held Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, in Stanford, Ky. Bill was a member of the Catholic Church and the Phuddy Duddy Car Club. He lived in the Athol area for several years and had many friends here. God Bless You Bill! You will be greatly missed!
