Dr. Michael Ludwig to specialize

in workers' compensation cases

Dr. Michael Ludwig recently resigned as occupational medicine director at Kootenai Health to go into independent practice specializing in workers' compensation cases. Dr. Ludwig is the only board certified, fellowship-trained rehabilitation specialist in Kootenai County.

"For the last seven years, it has been my goal to offer the highest standard in medical care for Idaho's workers," Dr. Ludwig said. "It is with this passion that I am proud to announce the opening of Idaho Occupational Medicine Group. IOMG represents the future of comprehensive care for industrial injuries. With a focus on the medical management of these cases, IOMG will offer unique advantages over our competitors."

IOMG is located at 3320 N. Grand Mill Lane in Coeur d'Alene.

According to Dr. Ludwig, IOMG's mission is to repair Idaho's workers under the following principals: Efficiency - prompt scheduling of evaluations or consultations with specialists that have an interest in treating workers. Focus - industrial injuries require undivided attention to ensure successful return to employment. Cost effectiveness - care will be directed by specialists to minimize unnecessary testing and reduce delay of definitive treatment. And consistency - the coordination of follow-up appointments with the same care provider will ensure continuity of care and effective implementation of treatment plans across disciplines.
