FUTURE: Here's to Hamelrath

| September 16, 2012 9:00 PM

I would like to thank Fred Hamelrath for his column on the American voters being the jury for the upcoming presidential election. Having been where he has been and seen what he has seen, I think his words could be spoken no clearer or truer than he has done.

If the current commander and chief isn’t voted out in November, I believe it will be the death blow to America as we have known it. Not that his opposition is the messiah or the answer. But having said that we can’t continue on with this existing leadership, if we can even call it leadership that we have had. The hole in the boat is bigger than the bucket, and the bad news is we don’t even have a captain at the wheel. Sarah Palin, who has not been very popular with the media, said it quite well in regard to our president and his leadership. The statement she made was [FREE STUFF OR FREEDOM] and we can’t have it both ways.

There are too many people feeding from the public trough, and we need to curb government growth and spending without reducing our military power. As we see with turmoil in the middle east and the way the Muslim Brotherhood have shown they don’t appreciate us or what we have attempted to do for them, it becomes more apparent they are not the peace loving group depicted by our leadership.

I’m not very well educated nor have I been accused of being very intelligent, but I’m voting for the Mormon not the Muslim. Once again thank you Fred for a well written article, and I wish America had more people like yourself. Let all Americans pray for the jury.
