Sun Up Bay boat launch to close for renovation beginning Sept. 17

Kootenai County Parks and Waterways plans to begin a renovation of Sun Up Bay boat launch on Lake Coeur d'Alene on Monday, Sept. 17.

The facility will close that day. The proposed completion date is Dec. 30.

The $440,000 project is funded by a combination of annual pass sales, daily launch fees and state boating grants.

The Sun Up Bay boat launch is one of the most popular in the county.
