BRANNON: Case reeks of injustice

| November 24, 2012 8:15 PM

I sit down to sing my soliloquy to justice swollen shut — that’s a wound that won’t heal properly and has swollen itself shut.

The decision (?) from the Idaho Supreme Court on the Brannon case last week is lost in political horse manure. Judges “discount” Canadians that were included in the local Coeur d’Alene vote count and base their final decision on not knowing how the Canucks voted. Who cares how they voted? The impropriety of the fact that they voted and the voting irregularities that slid past the Kootenai County Clerk’s office should have been the consideration.

Justice is blind and, in this case, feeble, too.
