SOUP: Not all words taste good

Congratulations to Tom Hasslinger, staff writer for The Press. I think you have been successful in making every soup vendor from last year’s Soup Off and maybe this year mad at you as a result of your interview with me last week. You used the word “substandard” on your own and when I called you about it you said you did not mean to offend anyone, but rather wanted to keep the article light and somewhat humorous. You stated that you liked what you did and would not print a retraction.

Well, I guess that is up to you, but you should probably get out your dueling pistol so you can defend your honor. All the soups from last year were good as well as this year. What I didn’t find last year was any “old fashioned” chicken noodle soup like grandma used to make, so this is what made me make the chicken noodle soup I did for this year.
