KENNEDY: Those days are long gone
The loss of the election for the conservatives has been attributed to various groups voting for Obama instead of Romney, including single women, Latinos, and so forth, but there are consistent voters for any Democrat candidate that also need to be considered. It seems to me that there are three main Democrat Party supporters: First: the “progressives” who want to bring down America as we have known it, and change it fundamentally. Second: The “takers” who vote for what they can get given to them. But there is an unrecognized third group: They are the well-intentioned, but misinformed or uninformed older voters who will vote for anyone under the label of “Democrat,” because that is what they have always been and what they always will be!
Many of this group remembers the Kennedy years, when there was an atmosphere of idyllic happiness and because their loyalty was established during that time in history, they now vow to vote the Democrat Party at any cost. (This blind loyalty is also part of the culture of the post-FDR years… this fact noted by Liz Cheney on Fox News.)
These older Americans will not acknowledge that the Democratic Party has been taken over by a “progressive” group with goals of changing America as we have known it, and set on the destruction of the values that these older Americans have held so dearly all their lives.
These older avowed Democrats continue to surround themselves with what is familiar to them as far as resources for political information — the same resources they used in 1962. Out of habit, they still follow the liberally-biased “mainstream media” including the Associated Press and print magazines with the anti-capitalist agenda that they promote. They are not aware that they are receiving “laundered” information and in fact information that is even being withheld by the liberal media from them — such as the apparent unnecessary death of four Americans at the embassy in Libya, where no one in the government accepts responsibility for denying rescue attempts for seven hours. Another example was that the FBI hid the Petraeus affair until after the election so that it would not reflect badly on Obama.
These dedicated Democrats from the Kennedy years refuse to even consider common-sense challenges against anything they have accepted as “truth.” They assume “Change” will mean something good, and that the Constitution will remain forever intact. They have no clue as to who George Soros is and that he is playing a game of world domination by funding money for loyalty to the “mainstream” medias’ coffers — with his biggest challenge so far being the USA, he also made a huge contribution to Obama’s campaign and is a frequent visitor to the current White House.
The liberals are now celebrating their “victory,” but the Honeymoon period will soon end when they face the same changes to our country as well as the personal challenges with the economy, health care and national security that the non-Democrats will be soon be facing.
