DISPLAY: Picture of newspaper bias
The picture and extensive article concerning the display on a lawn in Coeur d’Alene is an example of your lack of journalistic judgment and integrity. What makes this even worse is that the display has been up for some two weeks. Why publish this on election day? Why give it far more coverage than it deserves?
You chose not to endorse either presidential candidate but your editorial judgment speaks volumes about your position on the election. If you want to endorse Obama, have the courage to do it on your editorial page. Don't slip something in on the "local" page on election day in an attempt to influence your readers.
Good journalism is limiting your editorial opinions to your editorial page and not inserting them into your local news coverage.
