Joan C. Santos passed away at her home in Coeur d’Alene on Oct. 30, 2012. Joan was born March 30, 1942, in Grand Forks, N.D., to Laurence and Evelyn (Hagness) Berg.

Joan is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ed Santos of Coeur d’Alene; mother Evelyn Berg of Grand Forks, N.D.; sister Jolene Berg-Maas of Minneapolis, Minn.; eight children, Garry, Sandy, Kara, Steve, Laura, Jeff, Matthew and Nona; 20 grandchildren, Heather, Joshua, Justin, Amber, Brianna, Gabriel, Tara, Ashley, Brooke, Chandra, Sierra, Jessica, Nathan, Brandon, Kiera, Jordan, John, Joseph, Justin and Parker; 14 great-grandchildren, Andrea, Cody, Jayden, Gavin, Isacc, Averie, Elise, Braedon, Andrew, Rayn, Kyler, Haylee, Peyton and Kendall.
