Julie C. Fitzgerald, 75

Julie C. Fitzgerald, born in Los Angeles on March 27, 1937, passed away in Coeur d’Alene May 25, 2012, after a long illness.

She leaves behind her husband, Bill; sons-in-law, Steve in Atlanta and Brian in Stockton; grandson Dan and granddaughter Shannon — both in Atlanta; and five dogs.

With a master’s degree in education, Julie spent 37 years as a teacher in California from grades 2-12. For many years, she was active in AAUW (American Association of University Women). Her hobbies included photography, traveling, gardening, music, theater and especially taking care of her beloved dogs. She was involved with churches in Coeur d’Alene and Spokane. A woman of many interests and staunch dog advocate, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Yates Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
