LAUNCH: Closure opens door to rich

Thank you for printing the pros and cons on the possibility of closing the boat launch facility and ball fields. The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation sent 32,000 letters (Dec. 29, 2010) to registered Kootenai County boaters about the possibility of Team McEuen closing the Third Street Boat Launch. “Closure of the boat ramp facilities would limit boater access to Lake Coeur d’Alene,” the letter states.

Closing the Third Street ramp will make Coeur d’Alene a rich man’s lake, Team McEuen’s agenda. Note: Boater fees pay for the site’s upkeep.
