June Elizabeth Ummel, 86

Our beloved June Elizabeth Ummel went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2012. June was born in Redlands, Calif., to Fanny and Roy Cochran on Aug. 19, 1925. She grew up in Alhambra, Calif., and attended Alhambra High School.

After graduating high school while working for the IRS where one of her co-workers introduced her to a handsome sailor named William Ummel. The two fell in love instantly and were married six-weeks later on July 7, 1946.

While raising her four children, June attended Cal-Poly Pomona and graduated with a teaching degree. While teaching junior high June completed her master’s degree at Azusa Pacific University. June was an active member in her church, Lake City Community Church and was always lifting others in prayer.

June was proceeded in death by her beloved Bill in 2005.

June is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and John Foulkes; her daughter, Jude Klearman and husband Bill; her son, Jimi and Linda Fabian; son Barry and wife Kim; son Brad and spouse Sharon; grandchildren, Dylan, Libbi, Ashley, Sarah, Brandon and Jorie; great-grandchildren, Brydon, Rylee and soon to be born Winney Belle. We will all miss her love and devotion, she was our constant prayer warrior.

June’s service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Lake City Community Church, 6000 North Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene.
