TICKET: The real cost of 4 minutes

On Tuesday I received a parking ticket outside Season’s. The person giving the ticket was an older gentleman, very nice and very soft spoken. I got to my car as he was finishing the ticket. He nicely informed me I was parked there “for 2 hours and 4 minutes.” He said he was “always right on time.”
So, for $10, Coeur d’Alene has lost a local, retired customer. I go downtown at least once a week for lunch. I always keep an eye on the clock for the 2 hours. What I didn’t know was that I needed a stop watch. Four minutes? Really?
I’m tired of having to watch the clock. My friends and I will go elsewhere for now on.
