Alice Beek, 89

Alice Beek, 89, of Moscow, passed away May 12, 2012, at her home. She was born in Glendive, Mont., on June 15, 1922.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Beek and two brothers, Stanley and Robert Monroe.

Alice is survived by daughters, Dee (Dick) McCumber of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Corinne Sholander of Genesee; brother Bill (Joyce) Monroe of Highland, N.D.; step-children, Susan Lowell of Sandpoint, Jan (Dan) Burt of Sandpoint and Dan (Stacey) Beek of Anchorage, Alaska; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and her kitties, Aspen and Molly.

She was a member of the Moscow Church of the Nazarene and many Christian organizations. While all who loved her will miss her greatly, we know that she can now rest in the arms of her Lord and Savior.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Moscow Church of the Nazarene, 1400 E. Seventh St., Moscow. Reception will follow.
