Theodore (Ted) William Halverson, 94

Theodore (Ted) William Halverson, 94, passed away May 10, 2012, in Coeur d’Alene. He was surrounded by family and his beloved companion, Miriam Leighton. Ted was born on Oct. 9, 1917, in Creighton, Neb., to William and Elsie Halverson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille and son Dale Halverson.

He is survived by his children, Gail and Theodore “Teddy;” his siblings, Laura and Henry; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ted worked for many years as a Sheet Metal Worker in the Western states and later retired to Coeur d’Alene. Ted spent the past 12 years with his companion, Miriam. They enjoyed traveling, being with family and watching Mariners baseball games. Ted loved to cook, and his Christmas time creations were family favorites. Ted was very active and full of life. He will forever be remembered for his wisdom, life lessons, magnificent stories and great sense of humor.
