Raymond Albert Anderson entered into rest on May 4, 2012, at the age of 85. He was born in Kellogg, Iowa, on Sept. 27, 1926.
Ray worked for 40 years in Alaska, Washington and Idaho and finally settled down to live in Coeur d’Alene. He worked at Arden Dairy, Early Dawn Dairy and ended up being an electrician for Local 173 IBEW. He was an active member in the Eagles, the Masons and the Shriners in Coeur d’Alene.
He is survived by his five children: daughter Nellie Dvorak; and sons, Clinton (Tim), Darold, Larry and Edward. Ray is also survived by his 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing many of the area lakes. Nile Lake was his favorite, where he spent many summers with his family eating mud potatoes and frog legs.
The family would like to thank Sullivan Park Care Center and their staff for the outstanding care and concern they showed Ray.
There will be a celebration of Ray’s life from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at his son’s home, 2907 E. Marshall, Spokane. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, is in care of the arrangements.
