McHUGH: Helps keep public safe
I worked for Barry McHugh at the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office before my retirement a year and a half ago. I found Barry to be an honest, hard-working man who was an excellent boss. He demanded the highest performance from all his employees, but never more than he would be willing to do himself. Kootenai County residents are fortunate to have such a dedicated man in this position.
Barry’s experience makes him the best candidate, including 18 years as a prosecuting attorney. His opponent’s lack of experience as a prosecutor should concern anyone, as it would takes years to become competent to lead an office that is responsible for public safety.
Barry has done an amazing job of improving the office by instilling a work ethic, setting high standards for conduct and instilling a sense of pride in the work being performed. The office’s working relationship with law enforcement has improved, and his endorsement by the Kootenai County Deputy Sheriff’s Association and the Coeur d’Alene Police Officers Association reflects their trust in his work.
I know Barry will continue the hard work of leading the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and I support him in his efforts. Please vote for Barry McHugh on May 15.
