PARENTS: Give kids guidance

I just finished reading a letter by Kell Miller about how disrespectful kids are these days. I could not agree more. I myself turned 23 on April 26. I do not see how any parent thinks it’s OK to allow their child to run about showing off more skin than clothing. Girls are developing much more quickly these days so they think that it means they are grown up now. No YOU’RE NOT. Parents are failing as parents by allowing them to dress as basically $10 prostitutes. I know these young girls are doing it for the attention but, they do not realize that they are not getting the kind of attention they are going for. Most people who see them dressed in miniskirts showing off their bottoms and hoo hoos or shirts that have their stomach and breasts hanging out like they are ready to go hit the pole — most people are not looking at them because they think they look cute or hot. Most people are looking at them because they are DISGUSTED.

Do these girls really not realize that? I know that’s how I feel when I see these young girls dressed like they do, and I’ve heard several others say they feel the same exact way and, not just girls, LOTS of guys are disgusted as well. Not just because these girls are dressed like that but also because their parents allow it and think it’s OK or it’s the style. REALLY!!!??? Stop worrying about being your child’s friend and be a parent!!!
