| March 28, 2012 10:00 PM

Constance Irene Gordon McCafferty passed away peacefully on March 14, 2012, at her home in Post Falls. Connie was born Sept. 11, 1935, in Clawson, Mich., the first of five children of Sherman and Felicity Gordon. She grew up in Royal Oak, Mich., graduating from Royal Oak High School in 1953.

Connie moved to Southern California in 1958 with her husband Jim and lived there until relocating to Post Falls in 2005. In Southern California, she obtained her bachelor’s degree from Cal State Fullerton, and worked for Boyle Engineering Co., where she rose to the position of personnel director.

Connie is survived by her loving daughter Kelly McCafferty Sisk and Kelly’s son Dylan, of Post Falls, and by her three brothers Gary, Kurt, and Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sharon.

Connie adored her family and friends, and always enjoyed entertaining them in her home. She has left an indelible mark of love on all who knew her.

At Connie’s request, no formal services were held. Family and close friends met on Sunday, March 18, to share stories and provide comfort to each other at the home of Connie’s friend Charlie Knudtsen, of Coeur d’Alene.

Connie was a beautiful woman in every way.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her; but all are comforted to know that she has found eternal peace.

Connie’s loving spirit, generosity and kindness will forever be appreciated by her daughter Kelly and her grandson Dylan.
