PARTY: Why I'm not a Democrat

| March 25, 2012 9:00 PM

Last week we (the People ) were invited to join the party affiliated with President Obama, a very sincere and pleasant invitation presented in the Letters to the Editor section. Thank you, but I must decline your kind, well-meaning invite. I give a few of the reasons for this decision.

My father at 24 years old served in World War I as a dispatch motorcycle rider. I have his papers and photos to attest to the fact. His grandfather served in the Civil War on many battlefields including Gettysburg, where President Lincoln gave his famous address to the nation. I have Great-Grandpa’s discharge also. My brother flew P-51s in World War II. We both served in combat during the Korean War in 1951.

President Obama claimed his father served in World War II, which has been proven to be not true. In his speech to the public he said the nation gave his father what he needed when he (his father) returned. (His father was age 6 in 1942.) He didn’t mean his grandfather.

President Obama has abused the powers of the president without consult or approval. President Obama appointed Eric Holder as Chief Counsel who chose to sue Arizona for protecting its borders. Eric Holder is now in the process of suing Texas for requiring Person Identification in order to vote. He also wants to do away with the Second Amendment. Here in Idaho and most other states we go through a series of checks to make sure we are who we say we are… in order to vote.

Janet Napolitano, chief of Homeland Security, has done nothing to protect our borders on the south and has supported Backdoor Amnesty for invaders from Mexico and who knows where else. The idea seems to be to BUY Hispanic votes.

Those affiliated with President Obama have been brainwashed to believe his intentions are good. This can be a very bad mistake. The party against the present regime merely wants to put us back on track to be the Great Nation we are. The party seeking power may not be perfect but they are not seeking a socialist state nor a dictatorship.
