McEUEN: No vote, no joy

As a 30-plus year member of the Coeur d’Alene community I was very disappointed at the City Council’s refusal to give the public a chance to vote on McEuen Park. By our survey, we found that more than 80 percent of the public is against the park as proposed. We do want improvements but we want the ball fields and the boat launch to stay.

By the selfish attitude of the City Council by refusing a public vote, they have shown that they are not willing to work with the public and have their own agenda which will soon backfire. We are fed up with a council that has the attitude that it is their way or the highway. Stay tuned!
