James McBride, 88

| June 30, 2012 9:00 PM

James Almond McBride was called home to meet his Heavenly Father on June 23, 2012, at the age of 88. He was born May 26, 1924, in Auburn, Ind. to James and Vera McBride. He is survived by his wife Rusty of Post Falls and a son James A. McBride III and wife Lisa of Big Fork, Mont., and his two brothers, Dick and Elaine McBride, of Butler, Ind., and Mike and Teesil McBride of Arco, Idaho, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Purdue University in 1948 with a degree in mechanical engineering. His family believes that engineering was in his blood from a very early age.

Some of the work he really enjoyed was working on Boeing 737s.

Patriotism was very important to he and his family. He served his country in both World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He served for almost 11 years and completed his service as a captain in the U.S. Air Force. He lived in many states and countries.

He was a very loving husband and father and good provider. He loved to work hard and always found ways to keep his mind busy.

Bell Tower Funeral Home, of Post Falls, was in charge of his funeral arrangements.
