John Wandler, 89
John Wandler was born on Oct. 29, 1922, in Mott, N.D. to Sebastin and Frances Senn Wandler. He died June 23, 2012.
He married Alma Paisley on Nov. 30, 1947, in Seattle. To this union was born Kathy, Mike, James, David and Daniel.
John worked for many years at Northwest Timber in Coeur d’Alene, retiring in 1985. After retirement John mowed lawns several days a week.
John and Alma bought their little piece of heaven on earth when they purchased a five-acre parcel of land and worked to make it special, affectionately called “the farm.”
At one time they had a milk cow, pigs, and always grew a large garden. Dad loved to mow the yard and it looked like a park when it was done.
John was preceded in death by his beloved Alma, son Mike, son-in-law Lauren, his parents, brothers Casper, Raymond, sister Leona, stepbrother Rolly Greff and stepsister Anna Livermont.
John is survived by his daughter Kathy of Coeur d’Alene, son James (Linda) of Sandpoint, son David of Post Falls, and son Daniel of Sagle, plus several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
John taught all of us how to work hard and to never give up. What a legacy that will never leave us.
He loved the Lord with his whole heart and it showed in how he lived his life.
A special thank you to Hospice of North Idaho for their tender care of John.
