Peggy (Divona) Hallam, 82
Peggy (Divona) Hallam, 82, passed away in her home on Sunday, June 17, 2012.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, A.W. Hallam and her daughter, Patricia Cleary.
Peggy resided in Hayden Lake for more than 35 years raising horses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and caring for any stray animal that came across her path. Even though Peggy loved to warn people of how “mean and ornery” she was she spent the greater part of her life caring and providing for loved ones.
When Peggy wasn’t caring for horses, cows, dogs, cats, roosters, pigs, goats, pigeons or skunks, she was sewing and embroidering beautiful creations. She will be greatly missed by her second family at the Hayden Avenue Church of God.
Peggy is survived by son Stephen Hallam; grandchildren, Jacob Jones, Angie Jones, John Jones and Jamie Cleary; and great-grandchildren, Sydney Jones, Ciarra Jones Kylie Beckett and Makayla Beckett.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kootenai County Humane Society.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, June 21, 2012, at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Peggy’s online memorial at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com and sign her guest book.
